Job Description:


The Junior Graphic Designer will be responsible for developing and executing graphic design concepts across multiple initiatives while still staying true to the overall brand identity under the guidance of the Senior Art Director. You must have immense attention to detail, not be afraid to break traditional design rules to create conversation and experiences.


Responsible for:


  • Team up with Senior Art Director to help maintain and evolve the visual voice for Starface.

  • Partner cross functionally with the creative, brand marketing, and digital teams to help concept and execute on a range of projects including digital promotional campaigns, OOH, product packaging, printed marketing materials, assets for starface.com, and other retailers.

  • Assist with Digital Campaigns: emails, homepage assets, PDP assets, social, and paid advertising. 

  • Print and Product: assist with designing influencer mailings and outreach, product packaging, merch, etc.

  • Execute digital and print production as needed, preparing final press-ready files based on supplied specifications for several types of printing

  • Help with the production process for packaging and other print materials such as developing production specifications, and selecting appropriate production media and materials, such as ink and paper; inspecting proofs, etc. 

  • Assist with photoshoot preparation and ideation.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment ensuring deliverables are achieved on time while maintaining a high standard


What you need to succeed:


  • A BFA in graphic design (or related field)

  • Ideally 2-3 years of experience

  • Experience in product packaging design 

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.),experience working in Figma, Sketch and 3D rendering softwares are a huge plus!

  • A consistent and open communicator and not afraid to ask questions

  • Experience in both print and digital design, and is happy to work in both worlds 

  • Capable of light photo retouching 

  • Someone who is always learning and staying current with new technologies to create new ways to tell our brand stories

  • Must be up-to-date and aware of current graphic, fashion, and beauty trends, as well as the greater culture at large 

  • Has a strong and informed POV and understanding of aesthetics 

  • Takes their work very seriously and is meticulous about the details

  • Not afraid to push the limits and break traditional design rules and present ideas that might a little out there

  • Proactive about their work and always thinking about ways to push the brand

  • Able to work under pressure and deadline
